Leslie's artistic journey began in New York City as a celebrity makeup artist, where she gained insight into the fleeting nature of beauty. A volunteer experience at a children's hospital motivated her to pivot towards child advocacy, prompting her to pursue graduate studies in child life therapy. This path enriched both her artistic and professional endeavors as she supported children facing serious illnesses and significant medical hurdles. Having lived and worked in New York City, Cape Town, South Africa and Florence, Italy, she now enjoys life in Nashville with her blended family and a lively goldendoodle named Byrdie. Leslie's artwork mirrors her varied experiences, celebrating resilience and the pursuit of balance amidst life's turmoil. Her pieces highlight the importance of connections and tranquility in an often chaotic world.
